Château Saint-Georges Vintage 2016
A small climatic miracle! First of all, a very mild winter with plenty of rainfall created good water reserves. Spring brought a very homogeneous flowering. Then came a summer without a drop of rain, a sign of great classic years. A rainy episode in September made our berries swell for an optimal harvest on October 8th.

Of a very rare complexity!
Tasting comment
A very complex wine, a hymn to Saint-Georges! This harvest gave a wine of great aromatic complexity, cut for a good guard. From the outset, it is one of the great vintages in wine history. The robe is a beautiful deep and brilliant ruby/garnet. The nose is expressive and suave, revealing a bewitching and complex palette of very ripe black fruits and sweet spices. A magnificent aromatic marriage that finds its climax with a racy woodiness, embellished with scents of powdered rose and peony. The palate is rich, dense, refined, the tannins extremely round. The fleshy mouth offers flavors of black and red fruits, mineral notes of graphite, sweet spices.
